Who are these Switch Systems guys?

... and where did they come from?

baby Kris

Kris Sum, Managing Director

As well as taming lions, Kris grew up playing with Lego Technic and got his coding hands dirty on a ZX Spectrum 48k. Since then, Kris' thirst for technology has gone from strength to strength, graudating with honours in BSc Network Computing, becoming a Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA), and becoming a professional grade member of the British Computer Society (BCS).

After having survivied as a sole-trader doing business IT support and also coding applications for Exeter University, Kris ploughed his savings into setting up a new company "Switch Systems Ltd" and began his ventures into the world of business.

With his new team of tech-hungry individuals, Kris' company continues to produce professional and affordable IT services for numerous organisations across the South West.

baby Ruairi

Ruairi Fullam, Director

After cutting his teeth in the hard and fast world of PC Retailing, Ruairi "yes that's how you spell my name - it's Irish" started his own sole trader business doing IT support and consulting for local businesses.

Having worked with Kris before, Ruairi jumped at the prospect of combining forces and his sole-trader business was subsequently merged with Switch Systems. Joining Kris as a director, the pair are busy making ambitious plans for kickstarting I.T. across the South West.

In the little spare time he has left, Ruairi runs the UK's only demoscene party gathering, which this year saw big names such as Nvidia becoming a sponsor.

baby robin

Robin Evans, Engineer

A keen tinkerer, Robin has extensive knowledge of both PC and Apple hardware (he's always coming into the office with shiny new gadgets!). As our hardware guy, Robin sets up networks, servers and workstations and handles our repairs. Oh, and he refurbishes the machines which go to charity.

His current project is building a backup-tape loader out of Lego Mindstorms...
